ABOUT PETER MICKELSEN

Peter Mickelsen is an American filmmaker, originally from Canada, his work embodies a soft spoken nature coupled with a strong work ethic. ​He began his career in film and commercial production in San Diego before transitioning to Hollywood full-time. Over the years, Peter has contributed to a wide range of projects—from local commercials to high-budget feature films, documentaries, and reality television. As a director of photography, he has shot more than 30 short films, six feature films, numerous commercials, and several web series.

​Peter is the owner and operator of Bad Cat Films - a production company based in Los Angeles; complete with pre and post production services. Bad Cat Films specializes in camera operation, rigging, and post-production color services, with a current inventory that includes both RED and ARRI cinema cameras.
